Carole Porter

Board Chair

Carole is an executive at Kaiser Permanente as well as a political activist and mother of 3. Carole is an active member of her community and is passionate about widening access to leadership roles amongst women of color.

Leila Hall

Board Chair

Leila is an early childhood educator and a mother. Her own experience navigating the perinatal period as both a woman of color and a single parent is what motivates her to widen the access to affordable, quality maternal healthcare, child care and wellness resources in communities of color.

Lauren Wingate

Board Chair

Lauren has worked as an early childhood educator and youth yoga instructor in the community. She's passionate about protecting women and birthing people's rights to quality childcare, early childhood education, and reproductive healthcare.

Elena Perez

Board Chair

Elena Perez is a bilingual educator with a masters in TESOL- Teaching English to second language learners. As a Mexican woman Elena is an advocate for increasing educational resources in marginalized communities.

Teyler Wallace

Executive Director- Founder

Teyler Is a DONA certified postpartum doula, CAPPA lactation educator, holistic chef, and the Executive Director of Doula For The People prior to founding Doula For The People, Teyler operated her own holistic postpartum doula practice called The Foodie Doula. In Teyler's time as the Foodie Doula she supported over 200 postpartum people in the Bay Area.

In 2021 Teyler launched The Foodie Doula Delivery Program. She partnered with local nonprofits, to deliver nutrient rich soups, stews and specialty items to birthing people in the Bay Area. The cost of a full price Foodie Doula delivery, subsidized meal delivery for BIPOC identifying postpartum people. Teyler believes that access to holistic doula support and increased food security has the power to uproot systemic oppression and should be a right, not a privilege.

Alexandra Gold

Alex is a certified postpartum doula and perinatal massage therapist. She also has a master's degree in psychology and is a trained therapist. Alex has been working in the community to widen access to perinatal support and mental health resources for the past 10 years.

Emilee Roth

Emilee Roth is a sales executive for Dermalogica a sustainably produced skincare company that’s committed to increasing education around the importance of skin care. Emilee is an advocate of increasing access to wellness resources in underserved communities. Emilee’s background in sales, education, and marketing supports Doula For The People's branding, marketing, and fundraising.
